Chess is going through massive changes. Over the last 30 years, chess and computers have become entwined. And that's causing a clash between new technology and a centuries-old game. The commentators knew that the game was over the second a move was made. But it took the players themselves a few minutes to know for sure. That's because the commentators use computers that calculate what one move means for all the next moves.
