The Importance of Emotional Artificial Intelligence
If programmers were to somehow grant AI access to human-like emotional responses, maybe they would be more aligned with us in their decisions. Many would claim AIs are just processing machines and therefore can't be self-aware. This assumes that something other than processing is needed for awareness. It is basically an unsupported argument for a soul. We feel like we are more than machines.
