The Role of the Critical Theorist
In critical theory, we callthi like a method question like, what does it mean to be critical? And why is critical theory different from other kinds of political theory. In robin's work he doesn't sort of get stuck in a rumination about that, but actually s to relate to social movements and m to different forms of protest. The role of the critical theorist is to search for practices of critique and contestation and figure out how to frame them. But also, and maybe even more importantly, their theory is not sort of theory for its own sake, but its aiming at practice.
