Data bites is a speaker series designed to reagar intor disciplinary research with broader public conversations about the societal infomations of data and automation. Today's conversation features four expert voices on the ways detification intersects with race, surveillance and resistance. We will consider both how to defend ourselves from the harmful aspects of the state, as well as shaping demands we can make of the state for building the world we want. And in the process, consider what role does data play in this? These are not abstract quest Sour conversation is happening a day after an 18 year old went into an elementary school with guns and killed 21 people.
