Chaolin and the Battle of Fratherna
The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle paints a rather strange picture of what happened. Chaolin and Cutha fought against the British at 584 at Fratherna. The chroniclers tell us that in that battle, Cutha was killed. But then they tell us that Chaolin took a great amount of wealth and territory.
