LIDAR and Geomorphology in Archaeology
LIDAR has been used to find lost Maya cities and sites in Central Mesoamerica. But when you combo it up with other geophysics, looking at different returns from like the Ice Age, that's also a good example of what LIDAR can do. A guy named David Lee just used Landsat imagery on periods of time when there was a lot of rain. He could pick out places where there was old oxbows and old braided channels that dated back to the Ice Age.
