What Is the Science Base Targets Initiative?
The science base targets initiative is a group that allows companies to set a parisaline climate goal. To achieve that goal, you can't use offsets. But around cop 26, the side space targets initiative put out a net zero framework. That allows companies to take those since sbase targets i mentioned earlier, and bring them out a step further by 20 fifthy or earlier. This means there's going to be an under supply of carbon ofses starting in the late 20 twenties. And what that means is that the price for a carbon offset is going to shoot up to very unsustainable hihs, in this case, over 200 dollars a ton - starting around 20 30.
