Do You Think the Domestic Abuse Bill Is Going to Help or Hinder This Process?
The domestic abuse bill is now before parliament, but has taken four years to get anywhere near the statute book. Claire and richard say it will address a number of key issues, but isn't going to address some of the deeper problems within the system. The increase in private law cases is 38% year on year, which shows that these resources will be increasingly stretched as inevitably more cases are identified as being abusive vor needing determination by the court.
