This time exploring the diplomatic history of the Allied Powers during the Second World War. This being the second in a planned trilogy of diplomatic histories from the early Nineteen-Thirties to the early years of the Cold War. A work of history, which if completed will stand comparison with the brilliant, two volume treatment of the late Zara Steiner.
