The Stranger in the Film
Jonas wakes up from a dream and some black liquid ooze out of his ear. He's also apparently seeing in both dreams and when he's awake, seeing his father. The other fascinating thing about the stranger is that we see him check into the Winden Hotel but not as if he'd been hanged.
