How I Overcame a Time of Disappointment
Tim Keller: The hardest time was a period from about 2001 to 2005 or so. He says 9-11 in New York City got depressed and everybody burned out. On top of that, I got thyroid cancer; my wife had Crohn's disease...I stayed the pastor but basically really let the staff go. "God sending somebody was important," he says.
