Berlin's Fortunes Appear to Start Occurring Around the Time of the Euro Zone Crisis

Berlin's fortunes seem to start occurring around the time of the euro crisis which was around 2010-2011. I find it hard to find very direct links between the Berlin's local situation and the misery that struck large parts of Europe at that time. The period after 2008 is sort of the period of tech enthusiasm in Germany. Venture capital begins to move there. You have a major tech scene. A lot of in-migration of young talented creative people from all around the world, not particularly popular in Berlin itself but nevertheless good for the local economy.
