Post-COVID almost all retailers especially restaurants and food establishments now regularly charge a three to four percent surcharge. Krista Tony in New Jersey says I use my credit cards for most of my daily expenses I do this to earn cash rewards each month I pay in full the amount do before COVID only some gas stations charged a surcharge for using a credit card post-COVID more merchants are instituting these surcharges it doesn't make sense incurring that surcharge just to earn a two percent reward.
