The Politics of Water in Data Centres
Data centres use water to passively cool the infrastructure. They're piped through the facility, they carry the heat away from the servers. There's another method of cooling that's called evaporative cooling or adiabatic cooling. Some data centres have been known to use anything in the order of three to 18 million liters of water per day.
