Do Insolent Resistance and Psychiatric Disorders Prevent Depression?
Researchers found that for people who gain a lot of weight, especially around the time of puberty, they were four times more likely to develop depression by the time they were 24. It actually increased the risk for psychotic disorders fivefold. By the tie these kids turned 24, they were three times more likely to already be diagnosed with the psycotic disorder. We can't prove causation based on that kind of research, bitumbut they certainly suggest it.
