There were lots and lots of vulnerabilities in the electrical grit. These grids were not originally designed to be secure. You saw in the colonial pipe line sit ation, the debaccle from this past year. It's quite possible for smooth, sophisticated people on the other side of the world to manipulate something as basic and mechanical as a pipe line with disastrous effect.
