Do You Want to Break Habits?

Research shows that, in general, we want to associate an environment or a cue that we consistently use to trigger a behaviour and then reward it. And this applies not only to things like toothbrushing, but also can apply to popcorn eating at the movies. If you pay people to go to the jem eight times over the course of a month, and compare the likelihod they'll go after you stop paying them with another group that you've only paid to go once you see that there's sustained behaviour changed,. some sort of habit seems to develop just from that short period. It may be more that your, you may not want a habit in that context, which is funny.
