In February 2014, the Maidan Revolution in Ukraine took place. At the time, you were the president of the European Parliament. How do you compare and connect those 2014 events with the outbreak of the war in February last year? I remember very well, and I know all the acting persons personally, I had the chance to meet them in that time. The overwhelming majority of Ukrainian citizens in both parts of the country wanted a Western-oriented democracy based on the values of a free constitution. So the Maidan events showed to the Russians they have lost definitively the majority of people in Ukraine. And this is in my eyes the source for the war of today,.
