The Disincentives for Employers to Employ Women
Mira Oniya, program director of the Pratham Institute was more blunt. When you have women on the payroll you are legally required to provide facilities like a crash. A lot of employers have a clear mandate of not hiring women. And these sort of disincentives even come through say well-intentioned policies such as maternity leave.
