What Are Ash Mounds in Egypt?
In southwest asia, you know a village when you see it, because they have these great mounds. What i was seeing instead, was this much more kind of loose and ephemeral pattern of what looked like seasonal camps. And then i started looking at the material culture in a kind of bloomi way. In fact, it's the clearest example i can remember of you really come up against a tradition of almos a sort of learned ignorance.
