In 2020, Gary Gensler wrote a book on how regulators should prepare to deal with AI's implication on a financial system. He published one of the first rules in the broad federal bureaucracy on this last month. And he said that most asset managers and brokers will have to do an assessment when they use AI as to whether it leads to any conflicts of interest for the firm.
