The prosecutor's office was physically unable to attend because they were overburdened with many other hearings. Back then, we didn't have the language back them to call it a hate crime. And this shocked everyone because the reason why it got plea bargaind down to manslaughter was everyone thought they're definitely guilty ther on a plead guilty to manslaughter.
