The Arthur Mythology and the Holy Grail Quest
The arthur cycle starts to be edited and republished in the late 17 hundreds. The main vehicle through which audiences were re introduced to the arthur mythology was, again, malory's le mort dartur. And these editions were gely aimed at children. But the grail quest was d emphasized or removed entirely. Early nineteenth century moralists evidently were discomfited and didn't know what to do with the quest for the holy grail. It raises difficult questions of how to interpret and represent it.
