The Importance of Perspective in Building a Successful Business

If you're going to build an enduring franchise, whether it's a fun or a startup, you're building a multi-decade venture. And so how you think about building the business needs to be insulated from things that happen every five years or 10 years and so on. So I think having that sense of perspective is helpful. It's very important to ingrain that when there's a party, everyone's dancing. But few people have the discipline to know that, hey, this is a party and if this goes too far, we end up with a really bad hangover tomorrow morning.
