As an investor, does it ever make sense to buy a company just because it might be an acquisition target? I personally would never use acquisition, or potential of acquisition, as a thesis. But i will say it can be part of the calculus when you're weighing the risk reward. It's been kind of fascinating to watch it is and it's not.
