Sodium potassium pump is constantly doing that it's thing, right? Regenerating or rejuvenating or reorganizing the inside and outside of the cell. And so this is very energy dependent. So cells that do a lot of this pump in would require a lot of glucose and a lot of oxygen. This is the main reason why we need to eat food. Because energy goes towards these pumps.
