I think he's like extremely good at creating image, both getting them made and making a series of interesting films. And I think he doesn't have a great insight into the human soul or emotions or what makes life good. He was probably personally pretty impossible to be with. There is a story, but it does kind of like unveil itself as this series of sequences whose connection is a kind of a visual wordless one. You'll encounter like storm drain full of like darkly reflective water, a strange little island in it,. The film works better if you don't pay any attention to the dialogue.
