The first mantra, Om Brahmah, the creator of the universe and the protector of the world, was the first among the gods to manifest himself. To his eldest son Atharava, he imparted that knowledge of Brahman, that is the basis of all knowledge. So, this is all our ancient cosmology which we learned as kids in India. I had at least learned it from these comic books, Amar Chitra, very nice comic books when we read as little kids.

Swami Sarvapriyananda teaches the Mundaka Upanishad which one of the major Upanishads belonging to the Atharva Veda. Mundaka means ''shaved'' like a shaved head. The teachings revealed in this Upanishad are meant to leave the student clean, or shaved of the veil of ignorance. Indeed, the study of this Upanishad has been traditionally confined to the shaven-heads, or the sannyasins, who have renounced everything and devoted themselves exclusively to contemplation.
