The History of East Roger Naval Air Station

East Roger was a naval air station during the First World War. They formed a torpedo training unit who were training on torpedo dropping techniques, without either going to the German high seas fleet. Then closed at the end of First World War 1922, reactivated 1940 as a night fighter operational training unit. In 1942 it converted to coastal command, training, anti-shipping strike. So again torpedo carrying aircraft, so things went full sort of like a... It's quite the history that you've got there.
