What's the Difference Between Antimicrobial and Antibiotic Resistance?

Antimicrobial resistance means that there's ability of these microorganisms to withstand the effects of the antimicrobial drugs. If we don't finish the course of antibiotics as told by your doctor, then there's a chance that your infection is not fully treated. So if you have bacteria that survive during the first round of antibiotic course, then may repopulate and then these are the resistant ones. That makes treatment more difficult.
