The Trust Government's Solution to the Cost of Living Crisis
It's hard to remember when else there has been such a calamitous set of events. The trust government came along and said that not only was this necessary in order to get us through the winter, but it would also be a long-term solution for Britain's low growth. Both of those things have now gone. So we end up in this extraordinary situation where, as I say, we have the worst of all worlds. We've had instability from the mortgage markets, increases in mortgage rates, larger than we likely would have had as a result of government action. But we don't even have the tax cuts to help with cost of living on top of that. That's what Jeremy H
