The Rise of Plastics in the Environment
As we decarbonize our economy, companies are shifting their production into plastics. Plastic is an emissions intensive industry and as it grows exponentially, so too will the emissions. There's a calculation that if we have this exponential increase in the production of plastic by 2050, the emissions inherent in that will be equal to 600 coal-fired power plants.
