The US and China's Debt Problems
China has bought a tremendous amount of American debt and the US is paying $70 million of interest a day on that debt sending it to China. I don't think that we're at a place where they could do that but that would be a meltdown for them as well as it would be for us. They are already looking at, they're taking the necessary steps to lose their exposure to US sovereign debt already. We need to start getting serious about friend-shoring and decoupling and both-shoring. It's perhaps up to an American company, or U.S. firms in general, to open up to other markets and bring some closer with our allies.
