Risk Taking in Teenagers

There's been research in my lab from a couple of students looking at what we call positive risks and prosocial risks. These are often overlooked when we think about risk taking in teenagers. So for example, raising your hand in class and potentially not knowing the answer can be risky but it could help somebody else. And so with the adolescent might be risking getting bullied themselves or their peers, like looking down on them for sticking up for their peers who's being bullied.
