Remember to dig your well before you're thirsty and stay in touch with key people. If you do need a favor from some one you haven't talked to in a while, just reach out. Be warm and be direct. Don't pretend that you were just thinking about them. So just be honest in upfront and give them a out to say no. Here's an email you can write to some one you know whom you've lost touch with.
