The History of the SAS
The SAS was by its very nature a polyglot multinational force. In the TV series, one thing that we see is that you get an introduction of lots of other different nations - including French soldiers from the French foreign Legion. So if we were looking at the kind of facts and fiction of the series, we can say there's probably a little bit of fiction there. He's less of a mad man and more of a leader of men.
