The Gangster and a Gangster

The gangsters of the 1920s and 30s had no legal consequences for their crimes. When FDR tried to moderately alleviate the suffering of the American people, these folks attempted to depose him via a military coup. So it's kind of hard to call them heroes, but I don't normally call any given gangster a bastard. Some of my bias on this is probably due to the fact that one of the most famous gangsters was a cousin of mine.
