The History of Archaeology

The shonengan spears were a collection of like six to seven foot long wooden sticks basically that were excavated with a bunch of horse bones and that are dated to about 380 000 years ago so still before homo sapiens. The word spear indicates that they thrusting weapon oh if it's being thrown by another tool like an atlattl then it's called a dart specifically if it has fletchings which are the feathers in the back. It's a theorized that these spears were used as thrusty weapons but they all there's a debate about whether or not they could have been throwing weapons too.
