This chapter examines the emergence of the Occupy Wall Street movement against the backdrop of the 2008 financial crisis and rising economic inequality. It highlights the growing disillusionment among younger generations with capitalism and the political establishment, as well as their quest for equitable economic solutions. Through personal stories and historical context, the chapter illustrates the shift in political attitudes and the potential for grassroots movements to inspire change.
