Y It's Four Plus One Space Time Dimensions
A model within string theory tries to describe why we end up with three plus ones space time dimensions, which are big compared to the rest of them. Four dimension is the hardest dimension for math and it turns out that in higher dimension, you use what's called surgery in mathematical terminology - maneuvering two dimensional tubes off of each other. The same reasoning I was just telling you about strings finding each other in four ends up to be the reason why four is much more complicated to classify for mathematicians as well. So there might be these things. And so there are these kinds of ideas...that could underlie how we have three extra dimensions, but absolutely cannot leave it like that. We cannot
