Carl R. Woz's Third Kingdom of Life
Carl R. Woz is a microbiologist at the University of Illinois in Urbana, Illinois. In 1977 he discovered a new kingdom of life on Earth that was unsuspected until then. He had quite a cool reception early on to this idea and his discovery was given the cold shoulder by many biologists for years. But it has now been accepted as an important part of evolutionary biology.
