What Is the History of the Jewish Population of Israel?
Jerusalem had a Jewish majority since probably the mid-19th century. In 1935, you have 60,000 Jews immigrating here in a single year. And it's that year when the Jews are nearly a third of the population of the countrythat a man, a preacher by the name of Isadino Qasam is killed. That kind of lights the fuse of the revolt that begins in April 1936.
