Sangin has gone down in the history of the war as being one of the hottest places to be during that period. It just shows you the high intensity alongside the i e ds that that geography created for you in that theatre. The bayonet itselfand i think that's being the case since at least the second world war. They realize it's a very potent, unifying symbol about we mean business.
