The NFL's initial asking price was $50 million per team from the AFL as franchise fees. The 18 million actually didn't go to all the NFL teams. They went to the Giants and the 49ers because those were the two teams most affected by now having another NFL team in their city. And then the other final thing that is a consolation prize for the AFL is that they actually get to bring their records over, whereas the AFC did not.
