Is There a Metaphysical Difference Between a Single Universe and Many Worlds?
In a single universe with stochastic laws, there's only a single universe and all you can say about it is the probability of certain things happening in it. But if you are either a deontologist or a consequentialist, I don't see necessarily what that metaphysical difference does to your moral or ethical or practical calculations. There is a metaphysical difference because in many worlds, there will be worlds in which the different outcomes all happen with probability one.
