Healthy Wealthy & Smart

CHAPTER

Chronic Pain

The brain adapts to accommodate the pain in some one's life, rather than just be passively responding to the environment. It's adaptive to remember what causes pain and it's also adaptive to create pain memories. The thing that isn't as natural and healthy is the inability to go back to base line after you've hit that new state.
