Hamlet and the Mousetrap

Another player enters to provide the prologue. They inform the audience that this play is a tragedy and beg for the audience's patience. The king and queen characters reenter, they have had a conversation about remarriage. Hamlet tells everyone that Lucianus poisoned the king character in the garden. Ophelia jokes that Hamlet is as good as a Greek chorus. Luckily, Ophelia finds Hamlet's comments witty in spite of their offence.
