Is There a Lot of Luck in Your Successes?

i was surprised to learn that you don't describe yourself as particularly optimistic. And i thought that was kind of interesting, because you've spent, what, more than a decade now, looking atha aand utility. So the first question i have to ask is, has studying this field made you any more optimistic, or any any happier? No. I mean, yo, optimism is genetic, anyway. You know, largely ad you know, i'm the son of a very pessimistic mother, and so pessimism is sort of genetic too.
