How to Deal With Depression and Anxiety

The spring and summer of 2020 were some of the darkest times of my life, both personally and professionally. I was having more trouble than ever just getting out of bed and doing any kind of work required herculean levels of focus and energy. When I stayed home, I felt depressed. But when I left the house, I felt anxious. It's something that I've grappled with off and on for years and varying degrees. So I was hitting a bit of a breaking point there. And it hadn't occurred to me until this past summer that antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications were once again an option for me. That really helped turn things around.
