The Big Sort: A Partisan Divide in the United States
The term Big Sort refers to the increasing partisan divide along geographic lines. Political science professor Ryan Strickler at Colorado State University, Pueblo, explains the idea. He says increasingly we live in communities that are more politically homogenous than before. We have less neighbors that are of a different party or of a different ideology.
